Why it’s easier

One number to call, one person who knows the answer

A house is roughly twenty trades, each needing the one before them to finish on time, in the right order, to the right tolerance. Builds rarely fail dramatically — they fail as a week here and a week there.

  • Somebody owns the critical path. Trades booked in sequence, each inheriting work that is genuinely ready for them.
  • Materials arrive before they are needed. Ordered against a schedule with lead times built in, not in a panic on a Friday.
  • Problems get caught at framing. Which is while they are still cheap, rather than when the drywaller finds them.
  • You are not the project manager. That is the whole tagline. You should not be chasing a plumber on a Tuesday morning.

Southeastern New Brunswick is hard on buildings

Every region has its own way of finding out whether a building was put together properly. Here are the five that matter on this coast.

  • The season is short. Exterior work realistically runs May to November. A build that misses its close-in date before winter either stalls or gets finished expensively in bad weather.
  • Rain arrives sideways. Wind-driven rain off Northumberland Strait finds any housewrap lap or window flashing detailed the wrong way round.
  • Salt air eats fasteners. Along the shore, fastener and flashing selection is a durability decision rather than a line item to shave.
  • Freeze-thaw does the rest. Any water that gets in expands every time the temperature crosses zero, and it crosses zero constantly here.
  • Storms are not theoretical. This region remembers Fiona. Fastening schedules on exposed elevations should reflect that.

Frequently asked questions

What areas do you build in?

Moncton, Dieppe and Riverview, out through Memramcook, Salisbury and Sackville, and along the coast from Cap-Pele up through Shediac and Bouctouche to Richibucto. If you are near that line, call and ask.

Do you take on the whole build or just parts of it?

Either. We offer project management, framing, siding and finish carpentry, and you can have all four or any one of them. Plenty of clients use us for a framing and siding package and manage the rest themselves.

Do I need drawings before I contact you?

No, and it is often better to talk first. Some design decisions are far more expensive to build than they look on paper, and it costs nothing to change them before the drawings are finalised.

How far ahead do I need to book?

Further than most people expect. The exterior season here runs roughly May to November, so framing slots for a summer start are often committed by late winter, and material lead times sit on top of that.

Do you work in French?

Yes. Much of our service area - Dieppe, Cap-Pele, Bouctouche, Kent County - is strongly Acadian, and a large share of our work is conducted in French. New Brunswick is the only officially bilingual province in the country.

Do you do commercial work as well as houses?

Yes. Retail and storefront work, office fit-ups, light industrial and exterior cladding. The wood-slat commercial frontage in our gallery is that kind of project.

What makes coastal building different?

Wind-driven rain, salt air and direct wind exposure. The siding product matters far less than how the housewrap, flashing and fastening behind it are detailed. Inland mistakes take years to show; coastal ones take a winter.

Do you provide a written quote?

Yes, with the scope itemised so you can see what is and is not included. If something we find during the work changes the number, you hear about it before we proceed, not on the invoice.
